A raccoon in the attic is not a small problem. They are heavy enough to crush insulation, dexterous enough to pull apart soffit and roof vents, and they return to the same den night after night once they have claimed it. By the time most homeowners hear the thumping overhead, there is already an established entry point.

Around Goodlettsville and the northern Davidson County corridor, the housing stock does a lot of the work for them. Madison and Inglewood are full of homes built in the 1950s through the 1970s, where original wood soffits have softened at the seams and ridge gaps have opened up over decades — exactly the kind of weak edge a raccoon can widen with its hands in a single night. Our raccoon work starts with a free inspection of the roofline, soffits, vents, chimney, and crawl space to find where the animal is getting in and whether a litter is present. That determines the removal plan — trapping and relocation are handled humanely, and we never seal a structure while an animal is still inside it.

Once the property is clear, we move to the part that actually solves the problem: exclusion. Entry points get permanent, warrantied repairs so the next raccoon that comes looking for the same den finds it closed. If the attic was fouled, we can sanitize and restore the affected area as part of the same job.
